My Story

Originally I started my career in Accounting, then moved over to the technology industry in my 20's. And I have been a developer ever since. I have tried some other things in between jobs too.

Then around 2015, work impacted my life in a major way. Being a long time employee of a large company that was ecquired by a hostile takeover resulted in massive layoffs for existing staff. I stuggled to get work due to ageism in the IT industry and I found I was retrenched another 4 times with large bouts of unemployment inbetween over the next 5 years.

Then, I realized I will never have a decent career anymore due to my age so set about trying to start my own income istead of relying on others. During this time I turned our dog into an assistance dog and created a YouTube channel about him, and thus began my SEO journey.
Around this time I wrote some SAAS web apps in Python which didn't go anywhere, a fully stacked Rostering System and a document creation app. Being really frustrated, I created another YouTube channel about ageism which quickly became monetized, seeing many many other people in the same position as me in this country and also abroad.

The only work I've been able to gather the last few years is little IT jobs here and there, mostly SEO at substandard wages, hence I got the idea of trying to make a real income out of this business, since I discovered many website creators don't understand SEO and hire specialists to do this job.
